RUBEN B. ABRAMS,
MD, FACS
Being an artist and musician, Dr. Abrams recognized
the artistic values in COSMETIC PLASTIC SURGERY
very early in his training as a surgeon. He fell
in love with the idea of being able to cosmetically
improve one’s appearance, or to reconstruct
defective parts of the body. Later on when he became
a BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON "CERTIFIED
BY THE AMERICAN BOARD OF PLASTIC SURGERY" he
coined the term "THE ULTIMATE ART FORM"
to describe his specialty.
Dr. Abrams truly believes in an artistic approach
to COSMETIC PLASTIC SURGERY. He also believes in
applying aesthetic principles and the latest technology
to his work. And finally he believes in patient
safety, direct, frank, and honest communication
with the patient, and he will not agree to operate
on any of his patients until he is certain that
all of their questions have been answered and they
are giving a fully informed consent. He is somewhat
old-fashioned when it comes to Doctor-Patient relations
and still believes in spending time with his patients,
listening to them, answering their questions as
honestly as possible, and ultimately providing as
perfect a service as possible.
