Ear
Improvement
The procedure commonly referred to as "Pinning
back the ears" is medically known as
"Otoplasty". This procedure is
indicated when the ears are prominent and
stand out too much from the sides of the
cranium.
Most candidates for this
procedure have been bothered by prominent
ears since childhood, therefore the procedure
is highly recommended for children who have
this problem, once they are past 5-6 years
of age, since ear growth has been nearly
completed at this age.
The procedure can
be done under local anesthesia, and usually
the results are gratifying. |
